Winning Strategy Is More About Synthesis than Analysis

A winning strategy is more about synthesis than analysis: it requires developing a new mental model or theory. Deductive analysis cannot produce the level of insight necessary to create a defensible moat. Strategy requires synthesizing an understanding of the “meta game” and adapting more quickly than the competition—not quickly following the last successful strategy.
